Mrs. LOVES CATS

Decades ago Jr. rescued  a young orange cat from the pound.
Upon arrival at the house Mrs. checked the cat: it was full of fleas!
She gave him a deep cleaning with soap and water. After that she blew dried his hair.
The poor creature  tolerated the ordeal with such calm resignation, and
looked so handsome that Mrs. fell instantly  in love with him
 and named him Jairo.

Jairo grew up to be a lovely, gentle, sociable and playful pet.
Because of him,  Mrs. developed a taste for decorative cats as well.
From that point on, people saw her love for cats, and always knew what to buy her.

Jairo lived a long and happy life. No other real

cat ever replaced him. The fake cat collection, on the other hand,
is still growing... all over the house... inside and out.

Young, adult and older Jairo.

CAMBRIA - California

If  you like strolling through pleasant walkways
in wide open spaces with panoramic ocean views,
there's nothing better than the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.
It's located in the quaint little town of Cambria,
 right in heart of the
central California coast.

1. Fiscalini: not a pizza place!
2. Small town, gigantic central park.
3. There is not one or two parallel trails,
but rather 4 or more to cross it.
4. Boardwalks you can walk, jog, or bike ride on.
5. Giant fields of flowers, the immensity of the ocean all for yourself.
6. Ever changing bluffs.
7. Stay 'till sunset.

LAS VEGAS: Nevada.

Want to tour all the wonders of world, but
don't have the time or the money? Well...this city is the next
best thing, or, let's venture to say:
a wonder in and of itself.

1. Imagine being in Paris...

2. ..or in Italy, with TWO leaning towers.

3. Niagara or Iguassu waterfalls...here it's just a front porch decoration.

4. UFO type buildings.

5. Tired of reproductions, architects create their own marvels.

6. Here's a sneak peek into the inside of those buildings...

7. Lost your shirt and want to get even? Don't take that money! The statue will swat your hand.

PLYMOUTH. Massachusetts

The Mayflower, the pilgrims village,
and a Wampanoag village, all hosted by the original
inhabitants...well, not exactly original...but a cast of pretty
good historian-actors playing their parts, gives you
a time travel trip to the dawn  of our country.

1. The Mayflower is moored here.

2. You can board it and meet the Pilgrims.

3. Stroll through the entire village.

4. Go inside their homes.

5. The villagers go about their daily 17th century chores.
They'll talk to you, but won't understand 21st century talk.

6. Take a short trail in the forest and visit with the locals.

7. Don't forget to bring your camera.

Happy Thanksgiving!

HERMOSA BEACH - California

on Memorial Day weekend,
this beach city host a giant art festival.
Crowds of volleyballers, swimmers, onlookers,
 artists, vehicular show-offs, by-the-sea eaters,
and others makes a colorful and vibrant
corner of the world.

1. Streets close and crowds fill 'em.

2. Amazons visiting the 700 kiosks.

3. Like this one.

4. Volleyball is big here.

5. Only sailboats, surfers and seagulls on this part of the beach.

6. To swim, or lay on the sand, miles of coastline.

7. To get there in style, bring your Ferrari, your Harley, or your transport on your head.

States: MASSACHUSETTS

Massachusetts AKA Mass ...What a place!
Jr. thought so:
He got his MBA, a job, and found his fiance here.
Congratulation for all three Jr.
Great Job - Great choices!

1. Countryside roads during the fall: a destination in itself.

2. Scenery along the roads: a "let's take a picture" stop at every turn.

3. Jr. sent us pictures from his first Mass winter...

4. ...and Rockport.

5. The Mayflower, and the USS Constitution, are moored at Mass Docks.

6. Boston: a college-financial-museum cozy metropolis is the heart of New England.

7. The place "where everybody knows your name:" is also here,  in Boston-Mass' Fennel Hall.

Cheers!
