States: UTAH

Visited Utah twice, long ago during springtime,
and the summer following the winter Olympics.
Pictures  from both trips are interlaced.
The hands of God and men have built monuments of grandeur and beauty in this state.

1) Spring showers perked up the colors of Bryce Canyon. Mrs. covered up her hair-do.

2.  Zion Nt. Park's awsome rocks.

3.  Mrs. dressed up to match the landscape.  An explosion blows dust at Kennecott copper mine If you fall in the salt saturated waters of the Great Salt Lake: no worriesYou'll float like a cork.

4. Olympians and snow all gone, Park City takes a summer siesta.

5. The magnificent Salt Lake Temple. Visit the Tabernacle during a performance or rehearsal. A reflection pool shows the temple facade and downtown Salt Lake City. Lower left, Utah's first mormon temple at St. George.

6. A few blocks away see the gorgeous Cathedral of the Madeleine.

7. Up the hill, the State Capitol Building. The enormous and elegant interior.  An impostor poses as Chief Massasoit. The ceiling dome paints the history of the state with exquisite mosaics. Mrs. dressed up for the cherry blossoms.
